The long, cold winter has passed. The branches of the trees are budding and flowers are blooming. Like the tree branches, which seemed dead during the winter, stretch out in the warm spring breeze and enjoy spring, we hope our neighbors around the world who are in trouble can overcome despair and welcome spring with a warm heart with our care and love.
Sujata Academy Visit
On January 30th, Venerable Pomnyun Sunim, along with practitioners who were on a pilgrimage to India, visited Sujata Academy. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of JTS in India and the 29th anniversary of Sujata Academy, he served meals to 10,000 residents of Dungeshwari. It was also meaningful to see poor children growing up bright and confident through education in the village.
School groundbreaking ceremony in the Philippines
JTS Philippines held a school building groundbreaking ceremony on March 9th. Two schools will be built in Cabanglasan, for a total of three buildings, six classrooms, and a new bathroom. On that day, nearby residents and JTS volunteers gathered together to hold a groundbreaking ceremony. We are proud to think of the students studying in a safe and nearby new building.
Turkiye tourniquet support
JTS America provided tourniquets to Turkiye. Volunteers gathered together and completed packaging and prepared them for delivery. We hope that these tourniquets arrive safely in Turkiye and are useful to those in need.
