2025 Summer Vacation Nutrition Packages
This summer, JTS once again reached out to students from vulnerable families during their school break. A total of 827 volunteers from across the country delivered nutritious care packages to 662 households. From grocery shopping and assembling the packages to personally delivering the heavy bundles to each home, our volunteers took part in every step with joyful hearts.
Korean Doctors Visit Remote Villages in the Philippines
From August 11 to 14, a team of 26 volunteers—including 20 members of the Medical Jungto Practitioners, 4 JTS Philippines staff, and 2 members from Manila—provided medical services in four remote areas of the Philippines: Silipon, San Fernando Bonacao, Quezon, and Digongan, Kitaotao. We’re pleased to share the story of their compassionate work.
News from the Cambodia Girls’ Dormitory
The girls’ dormitory at the Battambang branch of a university in northwestern Cambodia was built with JTS support to help young women from rural areas pursue higher education in a safe environment. The dormitory was completed and celebrated with an opening ceremony in July 2024. Students and their families have shared their heartfelt gratitude to JTS for making this possible. We wish the young women here every success as they support one another, share their dreams, and build lasting friendships!
A Small Contribution to Flood Relief in Yesan
Rice Support for Vulnerable Families in Sri Lanka
JTS continues its relief efforts for vulnerable households in Sri Lanka, who are struggling due to the country’s ongoing economic crisis and recurring natural disasters. Most recently, JTS provided rice to 1,000 families—enough to feed a family of four for 20 days. Piyal, a local volunteer who helped lead the rice distribution, shared heartfelt stories from the field along with his gratitude to JTS for their continued support.
