JTS Director Gena Park was dispatched to Sri Lanka to lead the emergency relief efforts in areas damaged by severe floods and landslides. Relief supplies listed below were distributed to 3,000 households.

List of relief supplies distributed by Join Together Society (JTS)

– Food: 20kg of rice, 5kg of soybean, 1kg of coconut oil, splatz(anchovy) 500g
– Kitchen equipment: 1 rice cooker, 1 kettle, 1 set of pots (3 pieces), 4 plates, 4 bowls, 3 spoons, 1 rice scoop, 1 washbowl
– 2 extra large towels

Most of the houses in the flooded areas were severely destroyed, and everything within the houses were swept away by the flood waters. Director Gena Park compiled a comprehensive list of the most urgently needed relief supplies based on the feedback of the flood victims and local relief workers. The flood victims were very happy and surprised to receive such large amount of food and many necessary household items.

In addition, 300 backpacks (lunch boxes, water bottles, school supplies, shoes) were distributed to students.
