A New Water System for Bayog

In Bayog, Philippines, a  water system was completed in 18 days with the collaboration and active support of the villagers. A 10,000 liter water tank and 6 water faucets, enough for 109 households, was installed. The catchment area is 2.5 km away from the village and the pipe was safely buried underground at a depth of 30 centimeters.

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) supervised the site during the entire construction period away from home. On the day that 40 workers participated in the construction, he provided lunch to everyone with the rice he had personally bought.

We visited the site a week after it was completed. The fifth water faucet was being used as a public bath for children.

This project was made possible by the generous donation of JTS Philippines representative Lee Won-Ju (LHK Creation Inc.)
