During last year’s winter break, JTS volunteers provided packages of food to 289 households around the country.

JTS provides these packages to children of low-income households who are in danger of going without meals during school breaks. The packages consist of diverse nutritional food items that can be consumed with minimum preparation. The food items were carefully selected based on feedback from parents, children, and JTS volunteers. As a result, the nutritional packages received good reviews from the recipients.

The volunteers who prepared the packages shared that the experience was very rewarding and that they felt happy to have participated.

We would like to express sincere gratitude to all the JTS volunteers around the country.

Additionally, actor Jo In-sung recently donated 356 comforters to JTS.

JTS has been delivering these comforters to the children eligible to receive the food packages and some low-income seniors residing in Dubuk and Jong Ro.

The “COVID-19 Relief Kit,” consisting of food items, disinfectants, and cakes, are also being prepared to be delivered to children eligible to receive the food packages on May 5th, Children’s Day in Korea.

The JTS Korea volunteers are keeping busy with various relief efforts.
