Thanks to your heartfelt support, JTS’s relief and support activities continue to take place all around the world. We would like to express our gratitude once again to all of our donors as we share the recent updates on JTS’s activities.
[Sri Lanka] The second round of support
In May, JTS decided to provide the second round of support to the more disadvantaged areas of Mediumpithiya and Tolabowatt in Sri Lanka, while supporting the Passara region, which was facing an economic crisis. In this second round of support, we provided food assistance to a total of 1,050 households and also supplied desks and chairs to students.
[Syria] The third and fourth round emergency relief for earthquake victims
JTS continues to support Syrian refugees facing difficulties due to the earthquake. In the third round of support, in collaboration with the Syrian relief organization Shafak, we distributed food packages to 2,938 households in eight refugee camps. Additionally, supplies for the fourth round (100,000 packs of sanitary pads, 64,800 bars of soap, and 35,000 bottles of shampoo) were prepared in South Korea and shipped from the port of Busan in August.
