Village Leaders of Dungeshwari

JTS India has been providing aid to fifteen villages in Dungeshwari.

Each village has a leader who is appointed by JTS India. The village leaders monitor the situation of the villages and discuss any issues that require attention with JTS India during weekly meetings. Currently, the meetings have been paused due to COVID-19. 

The leader of Swaraz Bigha, one of the fifteen villages, came to JTS India. A man in the village died two months ago, and his wife went back to her parents’ place to get remarried. She left her six-year-old daughter and six-month-old baby behind. The leader needed baby formula for the baby. Also, another family needed baby formula for a fifteen-day-old baby whose mother died during childbirth. The six-month-old baby seemed quite healthy, but the fifteen-day-old baby looked weak. JTS India provided baby formula to both families and plans to provide refills when they bring back empty containers until the babies recover their health. 

JTS India is solving problems that occur in each village through discussions with village leaders. Thanks to the support of our generous donors, JTS is able to provide baby formula to the babies of Dungeshwari.
