Dungeshwari is suffering due to COVID-19
Due to a government order, Sujata Academy has been closed since March 2020.
In February 2021, with a decrease in COVID-19 infection, Sujata Academy and Jivaka Hospital finally reopened, and the village seemed to be coming back to life.
But, within a month, the COVID-19 situation became much worse than last year.
JTS Jivaka Hospital set up a COVID-19 clinic to treat the patients among the 12,500 residents of 15 villages in Dungeshwari.
According to a media report in Bihar, India, the rate of recovery is higher in rural areas than in the city.
Thankfully, most of the patients in Dungeshwari begin to recover within about 10 days with just fever medicine.
Once the fever subsides, relapse is rare, and most patients recover quickly.
We pray that the people of Dungeshwari can go back to their healthy daily lives as soon as possible.
