Guilbot End-of-Year Street Fundraising Campaign
On December 15, 2018, “Guilbot” (a Jungto Society Group of artists, broadcasters, and entertainers) and Join Together Society (JTS) conducted a street fundraising campaign in Myeongdong, Seoul.
Every year around Children’s Day (May 5th) and Christmas, JTS Korea and Guilbot a Jungto Society Group of artists, broadcasters, and entertainers conduct street fundraising campaigns for all the children around the world with the aim of ending hunger, diseases, and illiteracy.
During this year’s street fundraising campaign, there were performances by a children’s choir and various artists, which made it much more enjoyable for the people who joined in the campaign event. Also, everyone who took part in the street fundraising campaign was enthusiastic and happy, making the campaign all the more festive.
Guilbot members including writer Noh Hee-kyun and celebrities Bae Jong-ok, Han Ji-min, Yoon So-yi, Nara (Girl Group Hello Venus), Yim Se-mi, Baek Eun-kyung, Han Jung-hyeon, Lee Jae-woo, Han Hyun-min, and Kim Byung-jo participated in this year’s fundraising campaign. Entertainer Kim Byung-jo and his son Kim Hyung-joo hosted the event together and showed great chemistry.
It was heartwarming and enjoyable to see that despite the cold weather, all the volunteers participated actively to help the children around the world who are suffering from hunger, illiteracy, and lack of medical treatment.
All the funds raised will be used to help children in Asian countries who have lost their opportunity to receive education due to sudden disasters and to provide medical care to mothers and children suffering from malnutrition and diseases.
We would like to thank all the volunteers of Guilbot and JTS who participated actively in the street fundraising campaign, and we extend our sincere thanks to all the citizens who made donations.
