Nabi Jangtuh and Kimchi Sale Event by New Jersey Jungto Society
On November 30 and December 1, 2018, the members of New Jersey Jungto Society in the U.S. conducted a Nabi Jangtuh (a sharing and clearing event in which people donate money for the items they select) and kimchi sale. They were held at Young Sook Lee’s home to raise funds for the Rohingya refugees. Ten New Jersey Jungto Society members participated in making and selling kimchi and other goods. A total of $1,764 were raised. After the sale ended, the Jungto Society members enjoyed freshly made kimchi and hot fish cake soup for lunch. They agreed to hold more of these events in the future.
