Provided facial masks to Ansan JTS Multicultural Center
Ansan JTS Multicultural Center provided 590 facial masks to the people who went back to Sri Lanka for their family and friends, since Sri Lanka had a shortage of masks.
Because each person was only allowed to take up to 30 KF94 masks, we provided 90 KF94 masks and 500 disposable masks. They were donated by a JTS supporter in Daejeon.
[COVID-19 Emergency Relief] Provided protective clothing
JTS provided 10,000 protective clothing to the medical team in the
Rohingya refugee camp. The refugee camp, where 859,000 refugees reside, has a weak medical system and is especially vulnerable to infectious disease. It was a challenging project, because the countries were locked down and activists’ work was restricted. For this project, we worked with the World Food Programme (WFP), who we worked with previously to provide gas burners.
Nutrition packages with love
Since 2016, JTS has provided nutrition packages to children seven times, including an emergency provision during the pandemic on Children’s day, May 5th. The project aims to provide meals to children who are underfed during summer and winter breaks. We provided the packages to 348 children in 28 branches from August 9th to 16th.
