The New School Year Begins at Sujata Academy

Saturday, the 22nd of June was the first day of school at Sujata Academy after the summer break. For the first time in five weeks, the school was crowded with children.

Originally, the school year was scheduled to begin in the previous week, but the first day of school was postponed due to hot weather. Fortunately, the weather became cooler thanks to some rain, and the school was able to open this week. It was wonderful to hear the joyous laughter of the students again.

People in India eat mangos to help them cope with the monsoon season that follows the hot summer, so the students were each given several mangos after class. These mangos were harvested from trees that Dharma Teacher Seonju planted 20 years ago.
